The aim of guidance counseling is to enable students to choose their stream for the Baccalaureate and later for higher education after leaving school.
We help students to develop a personal project based on their academic skills and their personal tastes, advising and guiding them but not doing the thinking for them. The student must always take the initiative and make his or her own choices.
Parents also receive information at meetings which helps make informed decisions, move beyond preconceived ideas and thereby facilitate parent-student communication.
In Terminale, Sévigné provides guidance on enrollment in higher education institutions and the Post-Baccalauréat Admissions (APB) procedure for enrollment in French universities, as well as advising students on their choices.
